Its nice to get all of these variations of poker no other app has as many, easy to play and understand.
This game is really well done, and it looks like it was actually designed for the iPhone unlike some other card games in the app store. The 5 games in one keeps it interesting and the art is beautiful. Love wracking up the points on the mini games too. Nice job Hoyle!
nice graphics - easy to understand - played all morning while standing in line at the DMV!
Im addicted to this game. The graphics are first-rate and the game play is great. There are also several different styles of video poker (actually I learned how to play Deuces Wild using this app which I didnt know how to play well before), so it keeps things interesting. I highly recommend!
I enjoy the game as it is very true to actual video poker that I have played in Vegas. However, I am very disappointed with the statistics the game keeps. All you are told is your winnings and the top and your top wins. I would have liked to have know how many times I had a pair of jacks or better, how many times I had three of a kind, how many times I had a full house, etc. There are so many statistics that could have been kept to only have high balance and top wins to me, is not worthy of mentioning that the program keeps statistics. But, overall a good, not perfect game.
Some bad moments
The Jacks or Better games has the worst pay table. The same pay table you would get playing at a seven eleven in Las Vegas. Poker Arcade gives you a full pay table for a much more enjoyable play.
Pays double your bet when u hit any pair,even a small pair. How can u lose?seriously, even if u discard winning hands,you will still win on average
Practing for Vegas and just hit a straight flush that paid out as a flush and ten hands later hit a straight that paid out zero. Took some SSs.
There is an issue with the sound. I can not listen to music thru the iPod while plying this game. As soon as the game turns on it kills the music. And once in the game you can not return to the iPod without the game ending
Game has reset my winnings no less than 10 times now. Given that it only costs .99 I probably shouldnt expect much but this is the kind of thing that annoys the crap out of me. Of course there really isnt any kind of support on the Encore site for the iPhone version of the application. They focus on all the various PC stuff they have out there as it makes them more money.
Wont be buying any more Hoyle products after this one.
Game resets every time I play. It doesnt pay on some winning hands. Definitely needs some fixing.
